Due to recent CDC (Center of Disease Control) guidelines, when you arrive for your appointment we are kindly asking you to stay in your car with your pet and call or text us to let us know you are here. We will come out to the car to assist you in a timely manner as possible. If you have a scheduled appointment with the DVM, we allow one family member inside for the appointment. You must wear a mask to enter the hospital. We know there are a lot of concerns about COVID-19, as it seems information changes by the minute.
We have been closely monitoring the situation to ensure we will be able to safely provide care for your pet. Our team has increased the frequency of our already stringent cleaning protocols, and utilizes hospital grade disinfectants. If any of our team feels ill, they will stay home, and if you are feeling under the weather or you are unsure about entering a public area, please let us know.
We know there are a lot of questions you may have at this time. The CDC has released a few answers we’d like to share with you:
Can my animal get Covid-19?
The CDC has not received any reports of pets becoming sick with COVID-19 in the United States. Resource: American Veterinary Medical Association. Covid-19 is a type of virus from the Coronavirus family. This strand was thought to be linked to an animal but now it is primarily spreading from person to person.
Can I get Covid-19 from a pet?
The CDC does not have evidence pets can spread the virus that causes COVID-19 to people or that they might be a source of infection in the United States.
Can I still make an appointment?
Yes! Please call, email, text or make an appointment through our online portal. We are currently allowing one person in the clinic with their pet for a scheduled appointment with the DVM. You must wear a mask to enter the building. Remain in your car, call or text when you arrive, and we will come to you.
What do you do with my pet if I choose to wait in the car?
When you arrive, call or text us to let us know you’re here. A technician will soon come to the car and take your pet inside. Once inside your pet will remain with a technician at all times. Your fur baby will be weighed and taken into a clean exam room to be seen by a doctor.
Please DO NOT LEAVE while your pet is being seen! If the Doctors have questions we will call you while you wait or come back to your car, remaining at a safe distance to ask. If you have questions you’re welcome to ask the technician, or call us. We want to make sure your pet is well taken care of while in the building!
How do I pay?
You are now allowed to come into the building to pick up and pay for medication. You must wear a mask to enter the building. At the end of your appointment you will be asked to pay for services rendered before leaving the building.
Please know we are here for you and your pets! We want to make sure they are safe and healthy as well as you. If you have any questions or concerns please call us or email us. Thank you so much!
